Finding Me a memoir by Michelle Knight is about Michelle’s point of view of the Cleveland kidnappings. It features rape, miscarries, and more horrific experiencing. Michelle was raped at a young age by a family member.


Michelle was pregnant at a very young age to a son named Joseph. Michelle was homeless also at a young age. A situation happened when Joey was a young boy that he was taken away from Michelle and put in a foster home.


When Michelle was lured into the car by Ariel by saying that her friend Emily, Ariel’s daughter was taking care of puppies and if she wanted one. So he drove her to his house and told her that he will take her to the office for her appointment to regain custody of Joey. But instead she was locked up for 11 years and during that time Michelle became pregnant with Ariel's baby but he decided to push her into a bookshelf to miscarry the baby. She endured a lot of trauma and was threatened many times with death. There are serious themes in this book like rape, kidnapping, and etc.
